The ASEAN-based telecommunications infrastructure company scales great heights in just three years
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 8 November 2023 – EdgePoint Infrastructure (“EdgePoint”), the ASEAN-based independent telecommunications infrastructure company, commemorates another milestone by reaching 1500 sites in Malaysia with the recent acquisition of an additional tower portfolio in Peninsular Malaysia. This makes EdgePoint the second largest tower company in the country.

Throughout EdgePoint’s three years in Malaysia, the company has provided a range of services for its customers, including build-to-suit, co-location, and in-building coverage solutions (IBC). EdgePoint has built approximately 200 sites since inception and expects to grow this number significantly over 2024. A part of EdgePoint’s strategy to increase connectivity and capacity is to partner with businesses across various industries to deploy innovative connectivity infrastructure. In the past year, EdgePoint has partnered with Sunway Group to upgrade telecommunications infrastructure within Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, and Sunway Medical Centre, as well as with myNEWS Holdings Bhd, which saw EdgePoint providing next-generation solutions at myNEWS and CU outlets across the Peninsular to enhance coverage and 4G/5G network capacity for customers while conducting their payments.
Since inception, EdgePoint has expanded its portfolio across Malaysia, as well as in the Philippines via EdgePoint Philippines and Indonesia, through EdgePoint’s subsidiary in the country, Centratama.
