Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – June 23, 2022 – GTP Network Sdn Bhd – part of EdgePoint Infrastructure (“EdgePoint”), a leading ASEAN-based independent telecommunications infrastructure company, has signed an agreement with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) on 15th June 2022 to provide Right of Way for TM to fiberise sites in their portfolio. In line with the agreement, this will enable TM to connect the towers with its high-speed fibre optic network to support high quality network performance and capability leveraging GTP Network sites across Malaysia.
“We are pleased to expand our existing business relationship with TM. Broader fiberisation will enable EdgePoint to offer enhanced tower capabilities to mobile network operators and strengthens our position as an integrated tower provider. We will also be able to better support nationwide 5G rollout in line with Digital Nasional Berhad’s goals,” commented Muniff Kamaruddin, Chief Executive Officer of EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd.
